Un po' di giorni fa, sfogliando Glamour (no, non é una cosa che fa solitamente), David ha detto: "ecco, questa ti somiglia!"
Io, preparata a vedere qualche sciaquetta acqua-e-sapone (e Photoshop) che fa le pubblicitá degli assorbenti, ho buttato un'occhio sulla pagina...e ho visto che indicava Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. In quel momento mi é fregato poco del fatto che il mio fidanzato non sa nemmeno chi sia Carine Roitfeld, figuriamoci sua figlia.
Non pensate adesso che io sia cosí arrogante da credere di veramente somigliare a Julia: magari! Peró, insomma. È stato un'ottimo inizio alla giornata.

One morning last week, while flipping through Glamour (no, that's not something he usually does), David said: "this girl, she looks like you".
I lazily shot a glance at the page, ready to see some unmemorable, very random "natural-looking" (as natural as Photoshop allows) model in a tampon ad, when instead I noticed that he was pointing to a picture of Julia Restoin-Roitfeld. In that moment, I couldn't care less about the fact that my boyfriend hasn't the slightest clue of who Carine Roitfeld is, let alone her daughter.
Now, I don't want you all to think that I'm presumtuous enough to believe that I look anything like Julia: I wish! But just let me say, that was a lovely start to the day.
