Somewhere

Ho finalmente visto Somewhere di Sofia Coppola.

Non lo consiglierei a tutti, ma rimango dell'idea che chi lo critica non l'ha capito, com'é il caso praticamente con tutti i film di Sofia.
Le scene sono riprese in modo raffinatissimo, dettagliato, estremamente lento.
Stephen Dorff é favoloso, Elle Fanning ha qualcosa che mi ricorda Natalie Portman in Léon. La stessa sensazione di abbandono, la superficie liscia e limpida che nasconde ferite.
Le conclusioni non sono gratuite; é un film che fa pensare.

La fine: l'unica cosa che non ho capito.
Lo styling: supremo. Elle é un piccola pre-teen trendsetter in Rodarte.

L'Italia: appare in modo disgustoso. Ma non possiamo fare finta che questo lato di questo paese non esista. L'Italia non é solo questa, ma é anche questa.

Giudizio finale: lo rivedrei. Ma, come ho detto, non é per tutti.




I've finally seen Sofia Coppola's Somewhere.

I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but I stand firm at the idea that whoever didn't like the movie didn't understand it, which is the case with most of Sofia's movies.
Every scene is ultra-refined and extemely slow.
Stephen Dorff is marvellous and Elle Fanning delivers that sense of abandonment that we've seen masterfully done by Natalie Portman in Léon: a soft surface that just barely discloses fragility.
The conclusions arent's served on a silver platter: this is a movie that makes you think.

I still don't get the ending, though.

Stylewise it's great. Elle Fanning is a pre-teen trendsetter in Rodarte.

Italy is shown in a disgusting way, but we can't pretend that this side of this country does not exist.

Final thoughts: I'd watch it again. But it's not for everyone.
