Coffee and Heels is finally online!
I'm so excited. So, so excited.
My new project is finally here: Coffee and Heels.
My domain, my thoughts, my moods, my style. Coffee and Heels is my stylish little online space with a positive message - don't miss it!!
(this of course doesn't mean that Sascha's Daily Drama is going anywhere. I'm still here and this is still my world, so keep checking in every once in a while!)
Sono cosí emozionata.
Il mio nuovo progetto é finalmente online - Coffee and Heels.
Tornate a trovarmi).

The Art of Inspiring - CherryBlossomGirl
These days, the intenet is so full of blogs I can hardly tell them apart anymore: nowadays even my grandma and her dog have blogs. I would like, for once, to talk about a blogger that truly deserves all the hype.
The other day I was looking at a famous Italian blog where the blogger was posing in skinny jeans and a leather jacket, and at the same time I was looking at http://www.thecherryblossomgirl.com/ where Alix was telling us about her new lingerie collection for Etam, and the photos of Alix in her underwear were much more elegant, demure and refined than the pictures of the other blogger completely dressed.
That French elegance, sophisticated and very parisienne, is part of what makes Alix and her blog special. It's like a floral perfume that's sweet, light and fresh, without being overpowering. Alix is like that: refined without seeming snotty. This mix of grace and accessibility (along with her amazing capacity to tell a story and convey an atmosphere through photos) is why her blog has a loyal following.
This is one blogger who does deserve front-row seats and the possibility to make her own collection, because she has the qualities that may, in a distant future, help make her a true style icon: elegance, personality and vision. With a pinch of warmth and a total lack of a snob attitute. Most bloggers could learn a lot from The Cherry Blossom Girl!

What Not To Blog
About Me" c'é scritto "style-aholic".
"She wears very good" non é inglese. Se nonostante tutto ti ostini a scrivere in inglese, NON tradurre con Google Translate. Chiedi aiuto a qualcuno!
Se sto ascoltanto 30 Seconds to Mars, vuol dire che voglio ascoltare 30 Seconds to Mars.
Buon blogging!
As a blogging veteran (my first Italian blog was born here in 2007), I am proud to present you with a very special surprise: the Rules, never to be broken in the wonderful world of blogging!
* Don't write "fashionist" in your profile. It's not a word, and it sounds a little like "fascist." If you absolutely must, put "fashionista", but I would advice against it because it's so cliché (but maybe I should just shut up. My "About Me" page says "style-aholic").
* If you can't write in English, don't. "She wears very good" is not English. If you insist, at least don't translate with Google Translate. Ask a friend for help.
* Don't think about what people want to read. Write what you want to write.
* If you have nothing to post, don't post anything.
* Don't ever write "blogger" in the "occupation" field of anything, including your Facebook profile or (God help you) your resumé, no matter how many readers you have.
* Don't email or comment other bloggers asking for link exchange. Only link to the blogs you love and read every day.
* Don't leave mean, negative or sarcastic comments. A comment that says "I don't like it" on a post about someone's new bag is useless and bitter. It's a smarter move to just think "What a hideous bag" to yourself and move on with your day. My rule is, if you have nothing nice to say, shut up.
* If someone leaves mean, negative or sarcastic comments on your blog, publish them and don't reply. But if they're plain rude, just don't publish them. The idiot will soon get bored and move on to another unfortunate target.
* I didn't think I'd have to say this. Really. But unfortunately there are still bloggers out there that delight us with little treasures of spelling such as "b/c" (instead of "because), "'cause", "btw", "lol", "brb", "lmao". Learn how to use a language fitting for someone over the age of 14.
* Please don't put background music on your blog. If I'm listening to 30 Seconds to Mars, it's because I want to listen to 30 Seconds to Mars. Not Bach, the Twilight soundtrack or Dave Matthews.
That's all for now! Happy blogging!

I Am Not A Fashion Blogger
This is a post that I've promised some readers. I've been asked lots of questions about my opinion on this, so here goes.
As some of you may know, I've been blogging at http://nellamiaborsa.style.it/ for over three and a half years. I'm from Stockholm, and when I started the blog, the phenomenon of "fashion bloggers" was relatively new in Sweden, and, living in Italy, I was one of the first bloggers to talk about fashion. These days, I've come close to considering closing down my blog just to avoid being one of the Fashion Bloggers, a term used today to describe the typical just-turned-twenty girl who, despite claiming to be a "student", somehow finds time and money to photograph herself in NEW outfits every day. My first thought when confronted with the neverending wave of "What-I-am-wearing-today" bloggers was, is it humanly possible to NEVER wear the same thing twice? I love my clothes way too much (humble Zara and H&M finds, nothing compared to the Balenciaga bags of the Blogger Army) to only wear them once. Too many memories, too much emotional attachment.
Being so that I work in the amazing world of online fashion communication, I understand that the blogs are a powerful new instrument, and the fashion brands are taking advantage of that. And thank God, otherwise I wouldn't have a job. But I can't help but wonder what fashion houses like Dior and Balenciaga are thinking when they decide to just "send" free merchandise to a blogger whose audience are high school girls that are unlikely to afford the new It bag. I also understand that the street style phenomenon is conquering the fashion world - I even said it in my job interview, and I happen to personally love and follow this phenomenon on a daily basis. I think that bloggers are innovative and creative, and they make their own success. It's just that it's a shame that success, at least here in Italy, only seems to come to those who can afford to wear new, expensive things every day, often forgoing things like good taste and writing skills. What can I say, Italians have lots to learn from Brits and Americans in the style-blogging stakes. And, well, yeah, when I am confined to a "standing" place in the fashion shows (despite working full-time in the business), it stings a little to see a blogger sitting in the front row.
What really makes me laugh (to keep from crying) is when bloggers are called "fashion icons", with the word "icon" being thrown around too much these days. To be a fashion icon, you have to create something truly innovative, being "sent" a Dior bag won't cut it. True fashion icons are spectacularly few, and they have nothing in common with a twenty-year-old self-proclaimed "shopaholic" who can impossibly have the life and fashion experience to create a style worthy of being called an "icon".
Since it's impossible to have an opinion about this without being labelled as "jealous", well, yes, of course I am envious. Who wouldn't envy someone who can afford to buy whatever they want? But this post doesn't come from envy, but from a desire to discuss a topic on which there can be different opinions. And, as a blogger, I give you mine.
