Ieri ho finalmente trovato un film che volevo fare vedere a David da una vita (consiglio: per trovare i film migliori, evitate la videoteca e andate in biblioteca...é anche gratis! O sono solo io che ancora noleggio i film?): Jerry Maguire di Cameron Crowe.
Chi di voi non ha ancora visto questo film, correte subito! Immagino che sarete in pochi visto che é un classico. Tom Cruise é al suo meglio, Renée Zellwegger tiene alta la bandiera delle ragazze "normali" alla Bridget Jones, Cuba Gooding Jr dimostra di meritare l'Oscar ricevuto come migliore attore non protagonista (vi consiglio di vederlo in lingua originale per non perdervi la famosa scena "Show me the money!") e chissá cosa é successo all'adorabile bimbo che recita la parte di Ray, il figlio di Dorothy? Senza diventare troppo mieloso e moralista, il film ci ricorda temi che sono ancora attuali 15 anni dopo (Jerry Maguire é del 1996): l'importanza di fare il proprio lavoro con il cuore e con la passione, senza lasciarsi sviare da tutte le trappole della societá. Fantastico. Imperdibile soprattutto per chi necessita di una dose di positivitá.
Yesterday I finally got hold of a movie that I've been waiting so long to show David (curiously, borrowing movies from the library has proved a much better idea than renting, selection-wise...or am I the only one who still rents movies?): Cameron Crowe's Jerry Maguire.
Whoever hasn't seen this movie, get moving! I guess that there won't be many of you, as it's an absolute classic. Tom Cruise is at his best, Renée Zellwegger flies the flag for "normal" Bridget Jones-style girls, Cuba Gooding Jr deserves all of his Best Supporting Actor Oscar ("show me the money!") and who knows what happened to the adorable child actor playing Dorothy's son Ray? 15 years from the making of the film (Jerry Maguire is from 1996), it still has valuable lessons to teach us about the importance of doing one's job with passion and heart, as opposed to falling into all of society's trappings. Amazing, especially for those in need of a feel-good boost.
